Andrew Smith Hallidie

Andrew Smith Hallidie ( born March 16, 1836April 24, 1900 ) was the sponsor of the " Clay Street Hill Railroad " in San Francisco, USA. It was the first fully functioning cable car system in the world, why Hallidie is considered the inventor of the cable car route and father of today's San Francisco Cable Cars. He led the wire rope production in California and built here also bridges.
