Andrija Žižić

Andrija Žižić ( born January 14, 1980 in Split, Yugoslavia) is a Croatian professional basketball player who plays at a height 2.06 m on the position of the center.

His career began Andrija Žižić in Croatian youth team Omis Mosor where he played until 1997. He received his first professional contract at second division Plastic Solin where he stayed for one season. In 1998 Žižić the traditional club KK Split where he won the first title of his career in 2003 by winning the Croatian championship. After a further station at Cibona Zagreb with which Žižić first debuted in the ULEB Euro League, he joined in January 2005 abroad for FC Barcelona. In the summer of the same year Žižić joined Olympiakos Piraeus in Greece. Although at Piraeus Žižić was one of the most consistent and best players, and his contract was extended early in May 2007 for three years, the contract with Žižić was dissolved, contrary to all expectations, in July 2007, and the player moved free transfer to archrival Panathinaikos Athens.

Žižić is a member of the Croatian national team and participated with this part in the European Championships in 2003 and 2005. With the junior teams reached Žižić EM silver and bronze medalist.
