Angela Webber

Angela Webber ( born December 2, 1954 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, † March 10, 2007 ibid ) was an Australian author, TV writer, producer and comedian. Angela Webber was born on December 2, 1955, and grew up in West Ryde (a suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia). She attended the Presbyterian Ladies' College, Croydon. After high school she studied architecture at the University of Sydney where she discovered her passion for self-written comedies.

Among her most successful and famous works are the television series counts Mortified. 2006 got the series the Australian Film Institute Award for best children's series in the drama category. Mortified runs in more than 15 countries, including the United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany.

In 2005, she was diagnosed with lung cancer and she died from it on March 10, 2007 in Coogee. She left behind her husband and two daughters.
