History

The ship was built in 2003 as Anglian Sovereign for the British company Klyne Tugs based in Lowestoft. Shipyard was, as its sister ship the Anglian Princess, Yantai Raffles Shipyard, the Chinese shipyard. The ship, which was operated under the flag of the United Kingdom, was stationed in the port of Lerwick and served as a rescue tug for the sea area of the Orkneys and Shetlands.

2012, the ship was sold at Smit International and brought under the flag of the Bahamas.

Technology and equipment

The ship is powered by two 16- cylinder diesel engines, the Wärtsilä 32 type with a total capacity of 12,000 kW, which act via transmission on two running in fixed Kort nozzles propeller. In addition, the ship has two electrically powered thruster control systems in the bow ( per 588 kW ) and another in the rear (660 kW).

The deck structure is located at the front of the ship. On board are 14 single and three double cabins, as well as, inter alia, a hospital and office and residence rooms. Behind the deck structure are various winches and deck crane with a lifting capacity of 3 tons, and a 344 -square-foot working deck that can carry up to 5 t / m² and a maximum of 10 t / m² behind bulkhead 23.
