Angola Avante

Angola Avante! ( Portuguese " Forward Angola !") is the national anthem of the Republic of Angola.

History

The National Anthem was adopted in 1975 after independence from Portugal. Before independence, the song Angola é nossa was ( Portuguese " Angola belongs to us !") Used by European settlers as an unofficial national anthem, after the beginning of the independence that was negotiated, but no longer in use.
