Angry Anderson

Gary "Angry " Anderson (* August 5, 1947 in Melbourne, Australia) is an Australian rock singer and actor.

Life

Anderson became known in the 1970s as lead singer of the band Rose Tattoo, with which he still goes on tour today and released albums. Characteristic of him are his bluesy, powerful voice and his shaven head. In 1985, he was seen in the third part of the Mad Max series as stooges of Tina Turner. With the ballad Suddenly from the soap opera Neighbours in 1987 Anderson reached # 3 in the UK charts and # 1 in his home. 1992 Anderson played in the Australian performance of the rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar King Herod.

At the beginning of the 21st century took Anderson - contrary to its image as a " Bad Boy " - on some charity events such as the Bali Relief concert in aid of the victims of the attack part of Bali. Anderson was awarded the Order of Australia, one introduced by Elizabeth II Order of Merit.
