Angry Boys

Angry Boys is an Australian comedy series in the mockumentary style of Chris Lilley which acts both as an actor in different roles. The series explores the life of a young obligations Direction in the 21st century and shows its influences, dreams and ambitions. Lilley takes on several roles:

  • Daniel and Nathan Sims, two South Australian twins,
  • S.mouse, an American rapper,
  • Jen, a manipulative Japanese mother,
  • Blake Oakfield, a surf champion,
  • Ruth Sims, a security woman in a youth detention and grandmother of Daniel and Nathan

The series is a co-production of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and U.S. cable channel Home Box Office. The British channel BBC Three, the series has also purchased prior to completion. The film was shot in Melbourne, Los Angeles and Tokyo. The premiere took place on 11 May 2011 at 21:00 clock on the Australian TV channel ABC1. After a season with twelve episodes, the series was discontinued.

The German synchronization was created by the synchronous Company Level 45 GmbH in Berlin.

Broadcast

The first broadcast was on 11 May 2011 on the Australian TV channel ABC1, reaching a quota of 1.368 million viewers. The second episode reached approximately the same rate with 1.346 million viewers. However, in the course of the first season, the rates fell steadily, so that the tenth episode with 0.453 million viewers had the lowest value in the series.

The German Air Date aired from June 26 to September 11, 2013 on the pay- TV channel Sky Atlantic HD.
