Angstlos

Angstlos is the fourth studio album by Nina Hagen. It was published in 1983 in Germany. In contrast to the previous album Nunsexmonkrock that was strongly predisposed avant-garde, this album is accessible and very similar to synth pop. Some time later, a slightly modified English version of the album was released with the name " Fearless", which provided particularly in the U.S. for attention.

Nina Hagen collaborated with the then very popular producer Giorgio Moroder, who produced, among other hits for Donna Summer, Irene Cara, David Bowie, Janet Jackson and Elton John. They also learned at the time the then unknown band Red Hot Chili Peppers, with whom she " What It Is " wrote. Many years later, when the band was already world-famous, the frontman of the Red Hot Chili Peppers Anthony Kiedis said in his autobiography " Scar Tissue ", Nina have told him that his band would once have had great success. For the first single " New York / NY " was shot a video, just for " What It Is " and " Zarah ".
