Anișoara Cușmir-Stanciu

Anisoara Stanciu (birth name Anisoara Cuşmir; born June 28, 1962 in Brăila ) is a former Romanian long jumper.

On 1 August 1982, the two young Romanian long jumper inside Vali Ionescu and Anisoara Cuşmir improved the world record in the long jump, which was by then at 7.09. First Cuşmir came to 7.15, then Ionescu increased to 7.20. Thus the two Romanians were also the favorites for the European Athletics Championships 1982, held in Athens in early September. Vali Ionescu won with 6.79 before Anisoara Cuşmir with 6.73. Third place went to Russian Elena Ivanova, also with 6.73. Was fourth with 6.71 Heike Daute who should write under the name Heike Drechsler long jump story after her marriage.

On May 15, 1983 Anisoara Cuşmir jumped in Bucharest new world record of 7.21. Almost three weeks later, on 4 June 1983 in Bucharest again, she improved the world record 7.27 to 7.43. This is still the largest increase in the long jump world record in the women at all. At the World Championships 1983 took place on August 14 to a final, in which four jumpers came about 7 meters, but the wind assistance was partly considerably. It won Heike Daute with 7.27 w ago Anisoara Cuşmir with 7.15 w. However, both jumpers also had a regular seven-meter leap in their series.

The 1984 Olympic Games were boycotted by the Soviet bloc, and so in the meantime married Heike Drechsler did not occur to.
