Anita Márton

Anita Márton ( born January 15, 1989 in Szeged ) is a Hungarian shot putter and discus thrower.

Career

Márton occupied at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz in 2008 with 15.88 m in seventh place in the shot put with 51.16 meters and sixth in the discus throw. At the European Indoor Championships 2009 in Turin she failed with 15.82 m in qualifications. Also at the World Athletics Championships in Berlin she was disqualified in the qualifying and finished with 16.80 m 24th place. The following year, it was enough at the World Indoor Championships in Doha with 17,34 m again not for the final and it was Seventeenth. The European Athletics Championships 2010 in Barcelona succeeded for the first time the finals and it was 17.78 m with Eleventh. At the European Indoor Championships 2011 in Paris, she improved again and finished with 17.84 m for fifth place.

In her home country she is four-time champion hall; In 2006, she was Hungarian Champion in the shot put.
