Anjani

Anjani ( Anjani Thomas bourgeois; * July 10, 1959 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American singer and pianist. Her style ranges from folk rock, soul and jazz equivalent, actually most likely that of a singer-songwriter, if they do not also writes many pieces themselves.

Anjani was still learning on Hawaiian guitar, piano and vocals. She attended the Berklee College of Music. Later she played in Manhattan jazz clubs. 1984 enlisted producer John Lissauer it as a background singer for Hallelujah by Canadian singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen. Cohen was thrilled by Anjanis singing, so that they as a singer and pianist took part in the same year on his world tour and also took part in his next album I'm Your Man (1988 ) and The Future ( 1992).

In 2000, she released her first album, Anjani. Followed in 2001 by The Sacred Names. 2004 Leonard Cohen on her singing Dear Heather said Cohen himself was almost equal. In 2006 they released their third album, Blue Alert to the Cohen wrote the lyrics and he produced. Private Cohen and Anjani are currently a couple.
