Anlong Veng District
Province
Anlong Veng was until 1998 the headquarters of the Khmer Rouge in the Cambodian jungle on the border with Thailand.
In 2001, three years after the death of the Khmer leader Pol Pot, the Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said the camp in the north of Cambodia to the historic tourist area. For indexing, however, the field has yet to be cleared of mines.
