Anna Crilly

Anna Crilly ( born 1975 in Kent) is a British actress and comedian.

Crilly attended Middlesex University where she studied performing arts. She was in the finale of " So You Think You're Funny " competition in 2003 in the Gilded Balloon Theatre and performed two shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in the following year .. Since 2006 she played the role of Magda, an Eastern European housekeeper, in the BBC sitcom lead Balloon. Your deadpan performance has been described as " scene withdrawal ". For John O'Farrells radio show NewsBiscuit.com they had a sample shipment, Crilly played by the co-host of fictional radio station NewsBiscuit based on the same website that was created by O'Farrell. The show was loud O'Farrell an opportunity for new authors and plays, to spread their talent. The pilot mission could be continued as a series.

In December 2008, she was nominated for the British Comedy Award for Best Female Newcomer for her portrayal of Magda in Lead Balloon Eastern Europe, the award eventually won Katy Brand.

She is one of the actresses in the series The Man Without a Head Go (English Sorry, I've got no head ). In the German edition Anna Crilly is spoken by Martina Hill.

Anna's brother is the journalist and author Rob Crilly.
