Anna Gebert

Anna Gebert ( b. 1979 in Warsaw) is a Polish violinist.

Life

Anna Gebert was born as the daughter of the violinist Grazyna Zeranska - Gebert and pianist Jerzy Gebert. Her brother Alexander Gebert ( b. 1977 ) is a cellist. Her family emigrated in 1980 to Finland. There she received her first violin lessons from his mother, from 1989 at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki. This was followed by further study at Magdalene Rezler in Freiburg im Breisgau, the Master Class with Ana Chumachenco in Munich, and by the Fulbright Program a two-year Artist Diploma at Miriam Fried in Bloomington, Indiana. Then she learned baroque violin with Stanley Ritchie. Since the 2007-2008 season Anna Gebert is Deputy Concertmaster of Gurzenich Orchestra Cologne. Since the season 2011-2012 is Anna Gebert first concertmaster at the Trondheim Symfonieorkester in Norway.

Cooperations

From the season 2007/2008 she is Deputy Concertmaster of the Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne. The age of 14 she became a member of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra and the Youth Orchestra of the European Union. From 1997 to 2002 she worked at the Mahler Chamber Orchestra and from 2005 to 2007, she fellow of the Karajan Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Foundation. She has acted as a temporary mode first concertmaster at the WDR Radio Orchestra, as Deputy Concertmaster with the NDR Radio Philharmonic and Philharmonia Dortmund and as Vorspielerin the London Symphony Orchestra.
