Anna Melikian

Anna Melikyan ( Анна Меликян ) ( born February 8, 1976 in Baku, Azerbaijan) is an Armenian film director and film producer. Her work has been awarded several prizes. The magazine Variety, it is one of the ten most promising directors in the world.

Life and career

Anna Melikyan grew up in Yerevan. Since 1994 she has lived in Moscow, where she began her studies at the Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography in the class of Russian director Sergei Solovyov 1997. During her studies, she was awarded by the University for their 24 - minute short film Poste restante. After the successful completion of their studies in 2002, she worked for television and made, among other documentaries. In 2004, she made ​​her feature film debut with Mars.
