AnNa R., bourgeois Andrea Neuenhofen nee Rosenbaum ( born December 25, 1969 in Berlin -Friedrichshain ), is a German singer, songwriter and was a member of the duo Rosenstolz.

Life and career

AnNa R. grew up in East Berlin. In GDR times, she tried to break into the music scene, but came through their critical texts recurrent difficulties. In the entrance examination at the music school Friedrichshain, to which she started with a song by Whitney Houston, she fell through. She then trained as a chemical laboratory assistant and tried besides this profession as unskilled music dealer, but he continued to take singing lessons.

After the fall of 1991 she founded together with Peter Plate group Rosenstolz, whose singer, she was until 2012. In addition to her work for Rosenstolz she also works for other cultural projects. In 1998 she wrote with official at the Rose Pride Bio Love me if you can, take me, take me completely. She read, among others, in the Munich Long Night of the Books 2002 lyrics by Oscar Wilde. In 2005 she was a guest singer in the German band Silly.

The end of 2012 gave Rosenstolz known to go separate ways. In the spring of 2013, AnNa R. was back as a singer of their new band track 8.

Personal

In 2002 she married at the Baltic their longstanding partner, MTV senior producer and director Nilo Neuenhofen who was the director in many videos of the group Rosenstolz (eg I want to fall in love ).

In the same interview Neuenhofen told that they privately together with its partner exercises boxing and is patron of the Boxabteilung of the Kreuzberg club.
