Anna Seghers-Preis
The Anna Seghers Prize is an international literary prize, the Anna - Seghers Foundation annually awards. The price goes back to the German writer Anna Seghers, who has in her will that young authors are to be promoted with the income from their work. The award is endowed with 15,000 euros, which will be awarded in equal parts each to an author from the German and from the Latin American region.
The prize is awarded since 1986 to 1993 by the Academy of Arts of the GDR in 1994 by the Academy of the Arts ( Berlin), followed by the Anna- Seghers Foundation.
To the Anna Seghers Prize may not apply to you. The board of the Anna Seghers Foundation appoints annually a personality as a juror, which suggests the two winners.
