Anna Söderberg

Anna Söderberg ( born June 11, 1973 in Knista, Orebro ) is a Swedish athlete who had heard of the extended world class in the discus throw.

Anna Söderberg won 1993-2007 fifteen Swedish champion in discus throw and won in 1997 and 1998 in the hammer throw. From 1994 to 1999 she ten times improved the Swedish record in the discus throw, which has since been at 64.54 meters.

At the 1997 World Championships in Athens, she was able to first qualify for a decision reached in the preliminaries and the eleventh place with 58.22 meters. At the 1999 World Championships she was disqualified as at the Olympic Games in 2000 and the European Championships in 2002 in the qualifying. Anna Söderberg succeeded only at the 2003 World Championships again a place among the first twelve in qualifying. With 61.61 meters she also survived the preliminaries and finished at the end of the eighth. In the 2004 Olympics she divorced again in qualifying. In both the 2005 World Championships as well as at the European Championships in 2006 she came into the preliminaries and finished eleventh place respectively. At the IAAF World Athletics Final in 2006 she finished behind Franka Dietzsch Nicoleta Grasu and third place with 61.50 meters. In this third part in the Olympics at the 2008 Olympics, she was eliminated in the qualification for the third time.

Anna Söderberg studied in the United States at Northern Arizona University, where she was honored with induction into the Hall of Fame. She has a competition weight of 85 kilograms with a size of 1.77 meters.
