Annabel Pitcher

Annabel Pitcher (* 1982 in West Yorkshire ) is a British writer.

Life

Pitcher grew up in West Yorkshire in a small village. She studied English literature at the University of Oxford. After her graduation she worked for a television production company, was then in the field of public relations operate, and finally as an English teacher. With the publication of her first book she gave up her teaching career to them now works full-time as a writer.

Her debut novel My Sister Lives on the Mantelpiece was nominated for 25 awards. Among other things, she won the Branford Boase Award and a Betty Trask Award from the Society of Authors. For her second book, Ketchup Clouds, she received the 2013 Waterstone 's Children 's Book Prize.

Pitcher is married.
