Annales Vedastini

Vedastini Annales ( Annals of St. Vaast ) is the modern term for an early medieval historical work in Latin.

The work was the end of the 9th century / beginning of the 10th century in the Abbey of Saint -Vaast at Arras. It connects to the Annals of St. Bertin, in contrast, is taken in the Annals of St. Vaast but against the Carolingians a more neutral stance. The author or authors are unknown. In annalistischer form the time 874-900 is described in some detail. The Annals of St. Vaast represent an important and largely reliable source is to the events in western France, especially for the region of today's northern France. The plant is called with only the West Francia Frankish kingdom, reflecting the more West Frankish perspective.
