Anne Parrish

Anne Parrish ( born November 12, 1888 in Colorado Springs, Colorado; † September 5, 1957 in Danbury, Connecticut) was an American writer who became famous alongside her novel Loads of Love above all by her girl dolls adventure floating Iceland.

Life

After visiting the Philadelphia School of Design for Women Parrish gave her literary debut in 1923 with the novel A Pocketful of Poses. In the following years she wrote the three novels: Knee High to a Grasshopper (1923 ), The Dream Coach (1924 ) and Lustre (1924 ), illustrated by her younger brother Dillwyn Parrish, the future husband of actress Gigi Parrish.

1930 appeared Anne Parrish's famous dolls adventure for girls floating Iceland, which first appeared in 1952 under the title The floating island in German translation. In addition to her after written novel Loads of Love ( 1932) they still wrote numerous other books. Her most famous works include:

After her death due to intracerebral hemorrhage appeared posthumously in 1958, her novel The Lucky One.
