Anne Provoost

Anne Provoost ( born July 26, 1964 in Poperinge ) is a Flemish writer.

Life and work

Provoost grew up in Woesten on (now part of municipality Vleteren ). She studied literature and pedagogy at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven and graduated in Germanic philology. Then she followed her husband to the United States, where in 1990 her first book - " Mijn tante is een grindewal " - wrote. In 1994, " Vallen ", a youth book about racism and extremism and 1997 " De roos en het zwijn ". , 2001, " De arkvaarders " and 2007 her most recent novel "In de zon kijken ".

Your originally authored in Dutch work has been translated into twelve languages. When her most important book is " Vallen " for which she won five European literary prizes.
