Anne Schwanewilms

Anne Schwanewilms ( * 1967 in Gelsenkirchen ) is a German opera singer (soprano ).

Life

Anne Schwanewilms received her vocal training in Cologne. Among her teachers was the famous bassist Hans Sotin. From 1990 to 1992 she was a member of the Opera Studio in Cologne, then she was at the Opera House until 1996, regular member of the ensemble. After she had initially sung roles for mezzo- soprano, she soon moved into the soprano repertoire. She appeared at the opera houses in Hamburg, Munich, Dresden's Semper Opera, in Bonn, at the Komische Oper Berlin, in Metz and in Rome, and at the festivals in Glyndebourne.
