Annette M. Böckler

Annette Mirjam Boeckler ( born June 26, 1966 in Remscheid ) is since April 2007 librarian and professor of Sacred Scripture and Jewish liturgy at the Leo Baeck College in London.

Biography

Annette M. Boeckler put after studying Protestant theology in Tübingen, Bern, Bonn and Wuppertal in March 1993, the first theological examination in and was taken on April 1, 1993 in church preparatory service as assistant pastor. In March 1995, she completed the second theological examination of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland. She was accepted as a pastor in the Church Forum 1996. On 2 February 1997, she was (Wuppertal) ordained in the church Unterbarmen Center as a pastor of the Evangelical Church in the Rhineland ( EKiR ). She was working full until September 1998 at the Church University Wuppertal, sometimes as vicariate assistant. On 1 October 1998, she was dismissed from the church service ( last function: " pastor in the Forum with a scientific special order "). In February 2000, she received her doctorate in Old Testament at the Theological Seminary Wuppertal " God as Father " ( Gütersloh 2nd edition 2002). In 2001, she was converted to Judaism. From 2000-2002 she headed the office of the Jewish publishing house Berlin, 2003-2004 she was a research associate at the rabbinical seminary, Abraham Geiger College, Potsdam, where he teaches Hebrew, Talmud and Jewish liturgy. From 2004-2007 she was a research assistant for Bible and Jewish biblical interpretation at the College of Jewish Studies in Heidelberg. Her specialist areas include the literary analysis of biblical texts, the reception of the Bible in the Jewish liturgy and the literary analysis of the Jewish prayer book.

She is a translator of the prayer book Seder haTefillot ( Gütersloh, 1997). They also translated other liturgical texts such as the Haggadah, ed. by Michael Shire and Birkat haMason. Translated and edited by Rabbi W. Gunther Torakommentar the Plaut ( Gütersloh 1999 to 2004, new edition 2008). She is editor of the Jewish calendar through the Jewish year, which is published by the Jewish publishing house Berlin since 2001. They held office since 2004 as Chasanit in various liberal and conservative communities.
