Ansina

Ansina is a city in Uruguay.

Geography

It is located on the territory of the department of Tacuarembó in its sector 7, a few kilometers from the border with Nachbardepartamento Rivera on the banks of the Río Tacuarembó. It lies southeast of the department capital. North of the village is Zapucay place between the Order and the Arroyo Arroyo Buena Zapucay, both tributaries of the Río Tacuarembó. The nearest settlement is in the southeast of Pueblo del Barro, while the northwest to find a few km away towards Cuchilla del ombú. West Ansinas extends likewise Cuchilla del ombú designated area. The eastern and southern area around Ansinas is called Cuchilla del Yaguarí.

History

On October 5, 1950 Ansina was classified by the law Nr.11530 in the " Pueblo " category.

Population

The town has 2,712 inhabitants ( as of 2011), of which 1,353 male and 1,359 female.
