Anthony Harvey

Anthony Harvey ( born June 3, 1931 in London ) is a British film director.

Life

Harvey began his film career as an editor and cut the films Lolita 1962 and 1964 Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb by Stanley Kubrick. His debut as a director, he was in 1966 with the film Dutchman. His greatest success was equal to his second film in 1968 The Lion in Winter with Peter O'Toole and Katharine Hepburn in the lead roles, has been awarded three Academy Award and two Golden Globe. Harvey even got an Oscar nomination for Best Director.
