Anthony Henday

Anthony Henday was a British explorer, who led an expedition into the interior of Canada on behalf of the Hudson 's Bay Company. Starting from Fort York, he traveled on June 26, 1754 Cree Indians westward on their way home. He penetrated deep into the Canadian prairie and traveled the modern provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan. After he had spent the winter with the Indians, he reached in June 1755 as its starting point Fort York again.
