Antipodal point

As antipode is called in mathematics two points on a sphere that lie opposite each other diametrically.

As extreme, a point is called in geometry and in the geosciences, the opposite to a defined pole or the point of an event. At cartographic projections (eg Stereographic projection), it is the point on the globe, which is opposed to a map of the main point ( point of tangency ).
