Antje Weisgerber

Antje Weisgerber ( born May 17, 1922 in Königsberg, † 29 September 2004 in Dortmund) was a German stage and film actress.

Life

The daughter of an upper Agriculture Council visited the Lyceum, where she became the prima maturity in Königsberg. From 1939 to 1941, she received an acting training at drama school of the Prussian State Theater Berlin. During their training period, they took over leading roles.

Weisgerber received by Gustaf in 1939 starred in the film Two Worlds, but the 17 -year-old was fined for " unarischer appearance" with a force from rotating film ban. From 1941 to 1943, she had an engagement at the State Theater in Berlin in 1941 and went on also to the Munich Chamber games; from 1943 until the theater closed in 1944, she worked in Vienna at the Burgtheater, where she made her debut in Schiller's Wallenstein Thekla.

After the war she worked from 1945 to 1948 at the Deutsches Theater and the connected chamber Games in Berlin. Then they played at Castle Park and at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm. In addition to Berlin, she had her most significant time at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus 1951-1955, and from 1955 at the Deutsches Schauspielhaus in Hamburg, each under the direction of Gustaf. In Gründgens legendary production of Faust in 1957, she played Gretchen.

Between 1952 and 1960 she played at the Salzburg Festival, where she and 1956 in the annual Anyone performances embodied the belief of 1952. 1961/62 she worked at the Munich Chamber games, then she took guest roles. In the period from 1971 to 1979, she appeared partially on in touring productions. From 1980 to 1985 she was a member of the State Schauspielbühnen Berlin. The German feature film offered Weisgerber in relation to little job opportunities. Private

1944 married Antje Weisgerber the theater actor Horst Caspar, who died in 1952. The couple had children Frank and Renate. The son died shortly after his father. From 1958 to 1968 Weisgerber was married to Reinhard Schilling, from 1970 to 1979, she was romantically involved with actor Oskar Werner.

Since 1999, Weisgerber was suffering from a brain tumor. She died in 2004 age of 82 in Dortmund in the home of her daughter Renate and was buried in a grave of honor in Berlin- Dahlem in the churchyard of St. Anne's church next to Horst Caspar.
