Antoinette Nana Djimou

Antoinette Nana Djimou Ida ( born August 2, 1985 in Douala ) is a French heptathlete of Cameroonian descent. It was 2012 European Champion and 2013 European Indoor champion.

At the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006 she came on the 21th Place. The following year she was the pentathlon of the European Indoor Championships in Birmingham Eleventh and gave at the World Championships in Osaka on after the first day of competition. In 2008, she finished 18th place at the Olympic Games in Beijing.

One bronze medal at the European Indoor Pentathlon Championships 2009 in Turin followed in the summer of seventh place with 6323 points at the World Championships in Berlin. In 2010 she finished fifth at the World Indoor Championships pentathlon in Doha. At the European Championships in Barcelona, she broke from the competition after the fifth discipline. At the European Indoor Championships 2011 in Paris -Bercy, she won the title with a French national record. With fourteen points less than in Berlin, she once again took seventh place at the 2011 World Championships.

At the European Championships 2012 in Helsinki, it increased its best performance at 6544 points and won the title before the Ukrainian Ljudmyla Jossypenko. In London, it improved in the Olympics again in 6576 points and came up to sixth place. In March 2013, it won the Gold medal in the pentathlon with 4666 points at the European Indoor Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden.

At the national level it was in 2006 and 2007 champion in the heptathlon, 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2010 Halle champion in the pentathlon and 2008 in the long jump.

Antoinette Nana Djimou Ida is 1,74 m tall and weighs 69 kg. It starts from the beginning of their sporting careers for the CA Montreuil and is trained by Sébastien Levicq. In 2004, she became a French citizen.
