Anton Tausche

Anton Swap ( born July 27, 1838 in Teplitz, † November 20, 1898 in Teplice ) was a Bohemian teachers and politicians.

Life

After leaving school in Teplitz Swap res rusticas studied (now Agricultural Science ) on the German Polytechnic Institute, Prague. There he became in 1862 a member of the Corps Austria. He then moved to the agricultural academy in Hungarian Altenburg, where he graduated in 1864 as an agricultural teacher.

After that Swap to 1868 Inspektionsadjunkt on the estates of the barons Zessner peak mountain in Dobritschan at Saaz and then to 1876 economy inspector of the estate Weselicko in Tábor. In this time, his first political activity falls as a representative in the district council of Mühlhausen in South Bohemia (now Milevsko ) and Bochin.

1876/1877 was Swap worked as agricultural migrant teachers. His particular interest here was to give the farmers after a crop failure in 1876 improvements in potato cultivation. This activity was so successful that he was appointed in 1877 by the Ministry of Agriculture to the State itinerant teachers of the country Cultural Council for all German districts of Bohemia. After Swap in 1879 elected to the districts of Eger, Wildenstein and Asch in the Imperial Parliament, he was pressured by the Ministry to give up the position of migrant teachers because this activity was held with the position of an Imperial Council Members to be incompatible.

Swap was until 1897 a member of the Imperial Council and at the same time from 1883 until his death in 1898 also Member of Parliament for Kaaden - Prestnitz - Duppau.

Awards

For his services to the farming appointed him the city Vysluni ( German: Sonnenberg in the Ore Mountains ) an honorary citizen.
