Anton Wildgans Prize

The Literature Prize of the Austrian Industry - Anton Wild Goose is a literary prize in 1962 sponsored by the Federation of Austrian Industry. The price is (until 2002 with 7,500 euros by 2010 10,000 EUR ) worth 15,000 euros and is supported by an independent jury of one of the younger or middle generation with Austrian citizenship, writer or writer " whose work can expect the final coronation yet," awarded.

The award is dedicated to Anton Wild Goose, " which in its best sense embodied like few others, the Austrian " ( quotes from the self-presentation of the Industrialists' Association ). Since 2010, the " Anton Wild Goose Price " is in " Literature Prize of the Austrian Industry - Anton Wild Goose" renamed.

1990 no award ceremony took place, former winners were instead works purchased and donated to the University Institute for German Studies in Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, in agreement with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
