Antonello Venditti (born 8 March 1949 in Rome ) is one of the great cantautori ( songwriters ) of Italy and came together with other significant cantautori as Francesco de Gregori and Lucio Dalla in the context of the Italian student movement in the late 1960s and in the 1970s to celebrity.
Venditti is still a much -heard composer in Italy, which fills stadiums. Thematically, it consists mainly deals with social criticism and his hometown of Rome. His music can be described as influenced by folk and quiet call to rock -oriented. He is co-founder of the " Roman School".
