Antoni MartÃ
Antoni Martí Petit (born in 1963 in Les Escaldes ) is an Andorran politician and is currently the head of government of the Principality of Andorra.
Life
Martí Petit studied architecture at the University of Toulouse. From 1994 to 2003 he was a deputy in the Consell General de les Valls, the Parliament of Andorra. 1997 and 2001, Martí Petit was elected as a deputy of Les Escaldes for Partit Liberal d' Andorra. From 2003 to 2011 he was mayor of his home town of Les Escaldes. In February 2011, he was elected chairman of the electoral alliance Démocrates by Andorra. In the early elections on April 3, 2011 Démocrates won by Andorra absolute majority with 20 seats. The selected over the national list Martí Petit was chosen on 11 May 2011 as the new Prime Minister of Andorra.
Antoni Martí Petit is married and has three children.
