Antonietta Brandeis

Antonietta Brandeis (* 1848 in Miskowitz, Bohemia, Empire of Austria, † 1926 in Florence) was an Austrian painter.

Life

Antonietta Brandeis was born in the Bohemian part of the Habsburg monarchy. She studied in Prague with Karel Javůrek and in 1867 became the first woman at the Academy in Venice by Michelangelo Grigoletti. She stayed in Italy live and served with their view painting the Italy tourists. Brandeis also painted in other Italian tourist places such as Bologna, Florence and Rome.
