Antonio Barbaro

Antonio Barbaro († 1679 ) from the family Barbaro was a politician of the Republic of Venice.

While the Candian war he was in the years 1655 and 1656 captain of the Golfo. 1667, he was Provveditore generals in Candia, now Heraklion, Crete. The same position which he held from 1670 in Dalmatia. After his death in 1679 he left 30,000 ducats for the building of the Church of Santa Maria Zobenigo in Venice.
