Antonio Barragán

Antonio Barragán Fernández ( born June 12, 1987 in Pontedeume ) is a Spanish footballer who plays for the summer of 2011 at Valencia in the Spanish Primera División.

Playing career

The Native Galician Antonio Barragán first played for the second representation of Sevilla FC. There he was at the age of 17 years already the starting eleven of sevillanos. Since in the Premier League is getting popular young foreign talent early to commit to save any high transfer fees, he was brought to England with 18 for Liverpool.

In his only season with the North English, in which he was almost exclusively situated in the reserve team, he came on in a UEFA Champions League qualifying match for his compatriot Fernando Morientes and thus became the youngest foreigner in the club's history, for in an official game the first team took. His great dream of a regular place in the Reds were not fulfilled.

For £ 680,000 Antonio Barragán was sold to Deportivo La Coruna in the summer of 2006. In the next two to three years, the Liverpool FC buy back the player for a payment of £ 475,000.

After he did not come to La Coruña in the 2008 /09 season for use, he joined in the summer of 2009 to Real Valladolid, where he signed a three-year contract. He remained his club even after his descent into the Segunda División in 2010 faithful. After missing out on promotion back to the 2010/11 season Barragán moved in 2011 back in the Primera División and joined the FC Valencia.

Both for the Spanish U -21, as well as for the selection of Galicia, he's already begun.
