Antonio Bernacchi
Antonio Bernacchi (* 1690 in Bologna, † 1756 ) was an Italian castrato, who was one of the most famous Italian singers including London, Munich and Vienna, and in his time.
He was a pupil of Francesco Antonio Pistocchi and formed a school as a teacher, which was still connected to the 19th century with certain vocal techniques such as virtuosity and improvisation. Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart noticed the singer Anton Raaff: " Bernacische the school - which is not to my gusto" and refers to the excessive decoration of cantabile arias.
