Antonio Capuano (director)

Antonio Capuano ( born April 9, 1940 in Naples ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter.

Life

Capuano qualified, enthusiastic about the painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti. With the beginning of the 1990s, his work began as a film director in which he presented nine films up to 2010, with whom he had success not only in public but also by the critics: He litters in 1992 with the Nastro d' Argento for his first born Vito e gli altri excellent, received the 1996 Giffoni Award, won a 2005 David di Donatello for La guerra di Mario. Three times he was nominated for the Golden Lion at the festival in Venice. Even before he had received the script for his debut film the Premio Salinas.

Capuano holds a chair in scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts, where he graduated.
