Antonio Ferrante Gonzaga, Duke of Guastalla

Antonio Ferrante Gonzaga (* December 9, 1687 in Guastalla, † April 16, 1729 ibid ) was Duke of Guastalla and Duke of Sabbioneta and Bozzolo.

Life

Antonio Ferrante was a son of Duke Vincenzo Gonzaga of Guastalla from his second marriage with Maria Vittoria Gonzaga (1659-1707), daughter of Duke Ferrante III. of Guastalla.

He was married in first marriage to Margherita Cesarini, in a second marriage since July 29, 1727 in Darmstadt with Theodora ( born February 6, 1706, the † January 23, 1784 ), daughter of the Landgrave Philip of Hesse -Darmstadt. The marriages were childless.

After Antonio Ferrante's death, which burned in a fire, the duchy passed to his brother Giuseppe Gonzaga.
