Antonio M. Fernández

Antonio Manuel Fernández ( born January 17, 1902 in Springer, Colfax County, New Mexico, † November 7, 1956 in Albuquerque, New Mexico ) was an American politician.

Fernández studied at the Highlands University in Las Vegas and attended Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee. 1925 to 1930 he was court stenographer on the eighth Judicial District of New Mexico. In 1931, he was then taken up in the legal profession and practiced in Raton; later he worked in Santa Fe. In 1935, Fernández MP in the House of Representatives from New Mexico. He was in 1942 elected as a Democrat in the House of Representatives of the United States. He represented his state there from 3 January 1943 until his death on November 7, 1956. Just a day earlier, he had been re-elected. Fernández was buried in Rosario Catholic Cemetery in Santa Fe.
