Antonio Rukavina

Antonio Rukavina ( Serbian Cyrillic Антонио Рукавина, born January 26, 1984 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian international footballer who is under contract at Real Valladolid and plays for the Serbian national team.

Career

Clubs

Antonio Rukavina began his career at FK Bežanija, for which he in the first and second Serbian League 55 games played until the end of 2006 and scored two goals.

In January 2007 he moved to FK Partizan Belgrade, who also belonged to the Super League. He was captain of the team. He played for Partizan 45 games in which he was able to achieve three goals. In addition, it was used twice in qualifying for the Champions League. He had a contract with Partizan until 2011.

However, in January 2008, he joined the German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, where he signed a contract dated to 2012. His first competitive game for Borussia, he played on 29 January 2008 at the DFB Cup second round against Werder Bremen, his Bundesliga debut came four days later in a 3-3 draw in Duisburg. With Borussia Dortmund Rukavina was on 19 April 2008 at the DFB Cup Final in Berlin, which lost 1:2 with the team against Bayern Munich. In the first half of the season 2008/ 09 he was only in the first five games to use. Rukavina was a total of 19 times used in Dortmund in the league, he played five times in the DFB Cup and once in the UEFA Cup.

In February 2009, he was first hired until season's end to the second division club TSV 1860 Munich, where he came to the summer of 2009 15 times for use and scoring one goal. National

Rukavina belonged to the levy of the Serbian team at the U -21 Football Championship in 2007, where they lost in the final of the Netherlands with 1:4. He played a total of seven times for the U21. His debut as a Serbian national team was Rukavina in June 2007 in a 2-0 away win against Finland. In 2010 he was part of the Serbian squad at the World Cup in South Africa, but did not play. He completed a total of 22 matches.
