Antonius Lambertus Maria Hurkmans

Antonius Lambertus Maria Hurkmans, common Antoon Hurkmans, ( born August 3, 1944 in Someren ) is Bishop of 's-Hertogenbosch.

Life

Antoon Hurkmans, one of nine children from a farming family, was initially greengrocers and had its own grocery stores. He joined Warnsveld in the late vocations seminar. After his training in Gemert and in the Norbertine abbey in the Belgian Grimbergen, he studied theology at the Theological Faculty in 1972 in Tilburg.
