Antti Kalliomäki

Antti Tapani Kalliomäki ( born January 8, 1947 in Siikainen ) is a former Finnish pole vaulter and politicians.

In 1972 he won the bronze medal at the IAAF European Indoor Championships and was eliminated in the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich in qualifying. In 1974 he won silver at the European Indoor Championships and finished fourth at the European Championships in Rome. One gold medal at the European Indoor Championships in 1975 were followed by silver at the European Indoor Championships in 1976, the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal, the European Indoor Championships in 1977 and the European Championships 1978 in Prague. At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 he did not come on the first round also.

His personal best of 5.66 m he set up in Raahe on 13 July 1980. Eight times he was Finnish champion in the open air (1971-1975, 1977, 1978, 1982) and six times in the hall.

From 1983 to 2011 he was a deputy in the Finnish Parliament for the Social Democratic Party (SDP ). From 1995 to 1999 he was Minister of Commerce and Industry, 2003 to 2005 and Minister of Finance from 2005 to 2007 Minister of Education.
