AN/USQ-17

The Naval Tactical Data System also AN/USQ-17 ( NTDS ) or UNIVAC M -460 called, refers to a computer system which was built by Sperry Rand. This was Seymour Cray's last work for Sperry Rand.

The machine was about the size of a bathtub, about 1.2 meters high. Shortly after the design of the machine was completed, left Semour Cray Sperry Rand and joined Control Data Corporation (CDC). As Sperry Rand was awarded the contract for the production of the system by the U.S. Navy, Sperry Rand had to develop a completely new machine. Up to the instruction set of a new machine has been developed under the name AN/USQ-20.

The instruction set was imaged using 30 -bit words:
