Reception

Kai Butterweck of laut.de missed two out of five stars and felt the album as " light and sweet bombastic soundtrack for moody melancholic. "

Culture News awarded four out of six stars and wrote: " ... after the downright optimistic album Approaching Normal dare they now also once again to gloomy songs and Rap parts approach. This ensures a healthy change that does the sound of the quintet pleasantly well. As long as there is not too much with the drama. "

Florian von Metalize.me says that the band is unmatched in its music. He is of the opinion that anyone who had the opportunity to attend a concert of the band, this should perceive.

Torsten Schlimbach from Dream Out Loud Magazine describes the band's music as " soul striptease " of the singer Justin Furstenfeld, which is indeed digest, but still authentic and honest. He describes the music as too thick, but that is exactly what the fans love to Blue October. Schlimbaum is of the opinion that the band their music lives and loves.

Bender from Stormbringer.at describes the album, however, rather than flat with irritating presentation, which although containing some bright spots ("The Getting Over It Part" ), but still did not want to fit into the overall concept. Some pieces were about cheesy ("The Worry List", " The Feel Again" ) and others included completely misplaced raps ( " For the Love ", " Any Man in America" ). The critic assumes that the group is a breakthrough in Europe can not make it with this album.
