A * P * E ( Alternative title: Ape or The Ape ) is a monster movie from 1976, directed by Paul Leder.

Action

A 12 -foot-tall gorilla who is held captive stunned on a ship is to be shipped off to Disneyland. Off the coast of South Korea, the gorilla escapes from the ship, kill a white shark and goes ashore. There he destroyed many villages and spread in the population panic. When he meets the U.S. actress Marilyn Baker, who is making a film just on the spot, he kidnapped them. My friend, the journalist Tom Rose, she tries to free himself from the South Korean army, together with Captain Kim. But when the army attacks the giant gorilla, this shows them only the finger. During the attack succeeds Marilyn but to flee. Together with Tom both ride in the capital Seoul. However, the gorilla pursues and so calls to the support of the country stationed in the U.S. Army under Colonel Davis. Finally, it is possible to kill the gorilla and Tom explains Marilyn that the gorilla was just too big for our little world.
