Apfelkorn

Apfelkorn is a mixture of apple juice and wheat grain and also the colloquial name for several liqueurs based on wheat grain with apple flavor.

As the first spirits company Berentzen led the party mix in 1976 as a finished product on the German market. Since 1979, apple grain is exported and remained for many years the most successful spirit in the range. Meanwhile spirits with grain and apple aroma from numerous manufacturers offered. Berentzen expanded the range in 1993 with the variant Sour Apple and in 1995 with the spiced winter apple. The original Berentzen Apfelkorn today has only an alcohol content of 18% by volume and is officially marketed in the series Fruity as Berentzen apple.
