Apollophanes

Apollophanes was an Indo - Greek king, who probably reigned at the end of the 1st century BC. His territory was in Punjab. He is known only from his coins, on which he describes himself as Soter.

Its coins show his picture on the front with Greek legends on the back, there are several motifs with inscriptions in Kharoshthi and point to the back of Apollo and Pallas. They are usually of inferior artistic quality.
