Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh

The Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh (Latin: apostolicus Vicariatus de Phnom Penh ) is located in Cambodia Roman Catholic Apostolic Vicariate with its headquarters in Phnom Penh.

History

The Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh was founded on August 30, 1850 by Pope Pius IX. cessions of territory from the Apostolic Vicariate of Western Cochin established as Apostolic Vicariate of Cambodia. On 3 December 1924, the Apostolic Vicariate of Cambodia was by Pope Pius XI. renamed as Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh. The Apostolic Vicariate of Phnom Penh announced on September 26, 1968 from parts of its territory to the founding of the Apostolic Constitution Qui built in Beati Petri Battambang apostolic prefecture and establishing the voluntate with the Apostolic Constitution Apostolic Prefecture of Kompong Superna built -Chambertin.
